It has a couple of pubs (of course), schools, 2 small grocery stores, fabulous bakery, newsagent, post office, hairdresser, town hall, Mitre 10, etc. - Ravenshoe holds an annual Torimba Festival with all the trimmings you would expect of a small town festival, beauty queens, parades, displays and a slap up ball. - Cairns is a beautiful 2 hour drive away... pro or con, you decide - The climate is beautiful one day and perfect the next, summer rains, winters that would rarely get below 7, and summers in mid to high 20s, occasionally higher. - Your own mango tree!! CONS (in the spirit of absolute transparency): - It's a basic block home, nothing fancy at all because we built to a very tight budget, no built-ins, one toilet and one bathroom. - Needs a new kitchen, we are planning on putting a new one in sometime 2018; after which the purchase price will go up - The nearest large shopping centre (and KFC) is a 40 minute drive away in Atherton - My tenant has just signed a new lease so he has about 10 months to go.
